WebCT 6 Pilot Program Update [WebCT 6 at NJIT]
Many of you are probably familiar with the WebCT course management system currently used at NJIT to support face-to-face and online courses. During the previous two semesters, over 55% of NJIT students were enrolled in at least one active WebCT course. Because this is an important tool that is used to enhance teaching at NJIT, the University is running a pilot to determine whether or not to upgrade to WebCT 6.
As some of you may have read WebCT was recently purchased by Blackboard. While BlackBoard has made a long term commitment to the newest version of WebCT, version 6, our current version is approaching the end of its product lifespan. Therefore, we have identified a small group of classes to participate in a pilot test during the spring of 2008.
